“ Once again, another fantastic dinner at 26 West on the Navesink. For starters we shared oysters and fried calamari, both outstanding. For dinner we all chose the porterhouse which was prepared to perfection. To end the evening we enjoyed gelato, tartufo and almond cake with berries. Combined with the ambience and service, 26 is the place to go. ”
“ We had my daughter and future son in laws engagement party here. Upstairs room overlooking the water. We had appetizers and a buffet. The food was excellent. The servers were diligent bringing out drinks and making sure food was swiftly refilled. It was a wonderful evening. ”
“ I have now been to 26 west twice for events and once for drinks and appetizers. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. They were so helpful throughout the process and the waiters worked so hard to make our event magical. The whole establishment is decorated beautifully, making it a great place for a special event. The food was delicious, I could eat their tuna tar tar on repeat! For event food, I have eaten buffet style as well as sit down. I recommend both! Whatever fits your style for your event. Some of our favorites were the coconut shrimp (which can be made GF for an event!), the carrots and the chicken in cream sauce. Be aware, if you have an event upstairs, there is no elevator. This could be challenging for elderly guests when going to/from the bathroom. The waiters carried all the drinks up/down the stairs so we didn't have to worry about that. They also offer private bartenders to be stationed in the upstairs room if preferred. ”
“ Love everything about this place! The atmosphere, the service, staff and even the other customers are so friendly ”

“ Dining at 26 West on the Navesink is simple and welcoming. The restaurant it painted in whites with colorful fish giving off a very New England harbor vibe - fitting in perfect with the views of the water nearby. The bar had a nice group dining and watching a football game. It was not too loud and felt inviting. The staff at the restaurant are all very kind and attentive. Our drinks were fancy enough to talk about. My "kick in the mule" NA cocktail off the NA cocktail menu was deliciously sweet, spicy and a kick of real ginger beer. A real treat served in a copper mug. My wife had fancy martini that had elderberry and thyme in it. She enjoyed it although she only needed the one! For Appetizers we had 4 East Coast Oysters and 4 West Coast Oysters (on the half shell) and the Tuna Tartar. It was fun to try both types of oysters and compare them. They were both great - my wife selected the east coast as her favorite and I picked the west coast as my favorite. The texture was a bit different, and I enjoyed the brininess of the west coast oysters better. The tuna tartar was excellent. Jalapenos were mixed into the guacamole on the bottom, which was a surprise to my wife, but they weren't overpowering for someone who dislikes heat in their food. Our main courses consisted of the Filet Mignon over a bed of Creamed Spinach and the Scallops over a bed of Couscous. The filet was a bit overcooked and needed salt but overall, it was tasty and had a great sear on it. The scallops were cooked perfectly and had good color. I really enjoyed the couscous and the sweet pop of corn kernels in it. The creamed spinach was a perfect match for the steak. i would try the wasabi mashed potatoes next time and I have a feeling their burger is a great one based on what I saw coming out of the kitchen. We didn't forget desert - the cheesecake was spot on. ”
“ Cute spot to come for some seafood apps & drinks! Great dirty martini with blue cheese olives and they have a nice happy hour menu ”
“ It's a real nice setting and the food tastes great. Tom, our server, was very effective. he just mentioned that there's a new chef, Dominic. And I feel that the entrées are about the size of appetizers they seem somewhat small, considering the price. It's a great place to impress someone. The average bill for two would be about $150. We were told the menu was just changed. Parking can be a problem especially if you have a reservation and you're cutting it close. Allow time. ”
